Access-G

The Australian Community Climate and Earth-System Simulator (ACCESS) is based upon the Met Office Unified Model system. ACCESS G is the global numerical forecast model operated by the BoM. It is run twice daily (00Z and 12Z) and provides forecast data out to 240 hours with a horizontal resolution of 12km and 50 vertical levels.

GFS

The Global Forecast System (GFS) is a weather forecast model produced by the NOAA/NWS National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP). The system is a coupled model, composed of an atmosphere model, an ocean model, a land/soil model, and a sea ice model working together to produce forecasts out to 384 hours. Forecasts up to 120 hours are at a higher resolution than those after 120 hours.
