Overview
The total rainfall was 115.3 mm. This is 181.9% above the long-term mean December rainfall.
The mean maximum temperature was 23.5° C. This is 1.2° C cooler than the long-term mean December maximum temperature.
The mean minimum temperature was 14.8° C. This is 1.0° C warmer than the long-term mean December minimum temperature.

The total rainfall of 115.3 mm is the highest December rainfall. The previous record was 79.1 mm in 2017.

Monitoring
To check for consistency with nearby official stations, the daily maximum and minimum temperatures from the AWS are routinely compared to the BoM AWS at Laverton RAAF, whilst the daily rainfall from the standard rain gauge is compared to the BoM AWS at Laverton RAAF and the Melbourne Water rain gauge at Hoppers Crossing.
Note: Tr indicates a rainfall amount of less than 0.1 mm (a trace of rain) and does not count towards the monthly rainfall total or the number of rain days.

Notes
- Unless otherwise advised, temperature is given in degrees Celsius (° C) and rainfall in millimetres (mm).
- Our long-term averages and station records are based on all available data since 1 April 2017. All annual data are based on complete calendar years commencing in 2018.
